Residence
Managing your team or running specific projects. A residence injects fresh energy and perspective.
It can also mean joining your team as a permanent part-time employee.
A residence typically involves a set number of days working together in-person (or on calls) each week and allows me to really get to know your business and the personalities within it.
I might be running your in-house marketing team for you, or a discrete project.
It is always tailored to suit your need.
My shortest residence was six months, the longest three years.
My longest permanent part-time residence was 5 years.
And my record number of re-hires by the same firm is three. This client never did hire a full time marketing director in the end. Instead they engaged me each time they needed a top-up year.
My purpose/projects have included:
- Creating refreshingly straightforward marketing plans.
- Consensus building, getting clear on what the business wants/needs.
- Solving things that aren’t working.
- Establishing and running client advisory boards.
- Creating and growing communities.
- Getting the attention of new audiences.
- Preparing a business for sale.
- Leveraging LinkedIn to reach important audiences.
- Managing appointment-setting teams.
How it works
- Regular time with your team, often weekly.
- Ranging from 4 to 12 days a month.
- Typical duration 6 months+.
- I can run the team for you or advise and report back to you.
- I was once approached to convert my residence to being a real (still fractional) employee. I said yes and we had a very happy 5-year experience together.
There are marketeers, and then there’s Catherine – you will quite simply never come across anyone like her.
I was blown away by her laser-focused approach. Once an objective/goal is set, Catherine creates innovative models to achieve them – constantly pushing the boundaries of the norm.
More importantly, Catherine knows how to execute those models and gain real results. She stays close to the sales team, understanding what’s important to them, with her number one aim of creating leads.
Where to start?! When Catherine started working with us we knew we definitely needed help with our marketing but what she has given us is so much more than that.
On a company level she has helped us identify our brand and put actual actions in place to really help us move forward. On a personal level I have loved working with Catherine. I feel I have evolved as a person and as a Company Director through working with her and really understanding the impact I make.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Catherine for four years, during which she built a powerful community of data experts from the ground up. Catherine motivated me to join the Advisory Board with her compelling vision of how I and others could contribute our different experiences and perspectives to develop something bigger than ourselves.
Above all, I was impressed with her ability to build trust, encourage connection and facilitate a group of strong personalities to develop something great, fuelled by her authentic love of people and our capacity for growth.
First conversations are exciting!
Even if we don’t end up working together, I’m confident our conversation will develop your thinking and add some new ingredients to your plans.
